Announced as the American Band of the Supreme Allied Command under
the Direction of Captain Glenn Miller with Vera Lynn and Jimmy Miller
( neither vocalist are featured on these recordings )
Miller states the band has "been over here a few weeks now" so the
recordings probably date to July / early August 1944 ( certainly not after
17th August when Glenn Miller was promoted to Major ) and sound
very much like recordings taken directly from the Radio.
