RCA (United States) EPPA 4702 C
This factory recorded 7.5 IPS RCA Records four track open reel tape was made in the United States. It was issued in a hinge style custom box. The box is in excellent condition as is the reel with the label being in excellent plus to near mint condition.
This tape was fully play tested on a Technics RS 1500 or RS 1700 tape deck with Bottlehead playback electronics and was free of dropouts or tape stretching (common on less expensive tape decks). The tape has no splices and plays back with no squealing or tape shedding.
As a long time user of reel tapes it has been my practice to only playback at the correct speed to prevent problems such as "Print thru" from high speed rewinding and storage. Tapes in my collection have tape leader added at each end to prevent the transfer of dirt or finger oils to the recorded tape section. The tape decks have always received regular maintenance with the heads and parts cleaned weekly when used. The tapes have been stored in a room with climate control and in general are new purchases by me or hand selected used buys. The tapes are all from my own personal collection and have always been treated with the best of care.
