MOST will play fine, at least at first (open copies are visually examined). Although not all tapes will need work, many tapes could use new pressure pads; some will need new splicing-tape/sensing-foil; some may need new rollers -- especially ones marked as having an 'Ampex roller' or a 'soft roller'. Some tapes may need other work. Please understand and accept this before buying or bidding on any 8-track tape.
