IF THE ZOOM IN FEATURE DOESN'T WORK IT'S A PROBLEM WITH EBAY. I CALLED THEM UP AND THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO FIX. I AM VERY SORRY BUT IT'S AN EBAY TECH ISSUE THAT I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER. From John Petersen's estate, drummer for the Beau Brummels and Harpers Bizarre.
Up for auction is this handbill bulletin for E.J. D. Enterprises coming concerts with a lost of many famous garage bands from the Northwest shown on one side and a list of coming events on the opposite side. This was from Ed Dougherty who put the Salem, Oregon on the map, by booking many rock band to play the armory and V.F.W. Hall. In the early 1960s, he founded EJD Enterprises and spent the next 40 years bringing name talent to West Coast venues. His first concerts and dances were at the Salem Armory Auditorium and the VFW Hall, much like the late Bill Graham's beginnings as a dance hall operator. Dougherty got his start in the music business booking weekend dances because, being a teacher at the time, he wanted to give the kids in Salem something to do. This is a piece of Salem history. This handbill shows Johnny Cash on one side with Tex Ritter, June carter, The Statler Brothers, and advertising for Shryocks men's clothing store in Salem. The opposite side shows The English charts. The Beau Brummels, Don & The Good Times, Hawk and the Randelas and Gary Lewis and the Playboys. This was from late 1965 to early 1966. Very rare pieces of Northern rock memorabilia plus The man in Black. It has 3 tiny holes as it was in John Petersen's 3 ring binder. SEE PHOTOS. ASK QUESTIONS. PLEASE CHECK BELOW THE DESCRIPTION IN CASE I DO AN ADD ON THAT MIGHT CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT BIDDING ON THE ITEM. NO RESERVE! SHIPPING WILL BE ACTUAL COST.
